Abraham is the founding patriarch of the people of God. He left his homeland and set out for a new land promised to him by God. He has many ups and downs along the way, yet his faith is seen by many, including the Apostle Paul as an example to us all. Peter was one of the twelve disciples chosen by Jesus. He left his life as a fisherman to follow Jesus and later travelled far and wide spreading the gospel. He is mentioned in all 4 Gospel accounts (one of which he may well have provided the source material for), features quite strongly in the book of Acts and also has 2 letters attributed to him. As such, he is a key figure in the New Testament.
