Holistic introduction to representation theory, presenting it as a unified subject which studies representations of associative algebras.

This volume contains the proceedings of the conference Perspectives in Representation Theory, held from May 12-17, 2012, at Yale University, in honour of Igor Frenkel's 60th birthday.
