Design paradigms are the building blocks of design and can be found throughout the natural and man-made worlds. These paradigms provide a visual database of diverse solutions for designers in many disciplines. The relationships between forms, shapes and colours, and the ways in which we understand and perceive these relationships, are the paradigms addressed by this book. All designers must be able to understand these basic paradigms in order to effectively and creatively approach a design solution
