Inspired by memories of living in the mountain community of Cohasset, California during my preteen years, this fictional novel portrays not only my life on the ridge, but the life of four other boys that preceded me. To give credibility to each story segment, actual historical events and methods are used to accomplish tasks, specific to the period. The book is enhanced by the drawings of Richard Colby, retired art professor, illustrating scenes depicted in my text.
