This book is an allegory fiction story for children written in a manner similar to C.S.Lewis' allegory stories. The main characters are children who find an alternate fantasy world in which they discover truths that can be applied to their own real world. They go on an adventure in this fantasy world and encounter danger, challenges, grief, joy, discouragement, and faith. Through all this, they learn to be faithful friends, and to conquer disappointments; they gain in confidence, and come home thoroughly changed by their adventure.
