The antics in Me and My Best Friend Charlie took place during a more innocent period. For the most part, Moms could stay home with the children, families ate together around the dinner table, very few families had televisions and not everyone had radios. The children played outside with each other and were obedient to their parents. Even though this book is a work of fiction, there is a touch of truth in every situation.
