Spenser's Story of Harriet Tubman is the story of an American hero, an African American woman who was born into slavery, escaped from it and then returned many times at great risk to her own life to help others. This is the story of one woman who would not give in to beatings that could have killed her, but which instead made her tougher and gave her the strength to overcome adversity and live life on her own terms, not those she was born into.
