Allan ("Hello Muddah, Hello Faddah ") Sherman wrote this giant pot-prurient of sex and socio-religio-anthropological, historical commentary, leaving plenty of space for "making funny," particularly in his rolling documentary of the Sex Revolution.

It all started, he says, on November 10, 1945, with 16-year-old Sonny Wisecarver, who combined babysitting with some 'upstairs action' ("He's more of a man than most men," breathed Mrs. E.L.).
