Jesus returns to Earth and again finds that those with good intentions have lost their way and become something dangerous. Joining with Magdalene, an ecological activist, he witnesses an extremist group's plot to destroy a maize plantation due to fears that it genetically modifies its plants, a revolt against a tourist development set to be built in a forest reserve, and an armed battle between two oppressed groups who have now turned on each other.
