The Medic series is a collection of stories about real Army medics - one from each of the living wars: World War II, Korea, Vietnam, Desert Storm, Iraq, and Afghanistan. From Henry, who lies about his age to enlist, and ends up on the beaches of Normandy during the D-Day invasion, to Chris, who is to young to remember the world before September 11, 2001. While the circumstances have changed over four generations and the tools of the trade updated, the warrior hearts of the men and women who fight death herself have remained steadfast.
