'The Blessings of Schizophrenia and Other Writings' is a collection which includes a memoir of the author's family, childhood and mental health history, including an account of schizophrenic breakdown and recovery. There are also six short stories, two essays and some poetry. Several of the stories deal with personal development, while the essays offer an individual take on Christian theology. The poem 'The Red Coat', written some time ago, voices the experiences around breakdown, and there are some more recent short poems.

The starting point is traditional but the relation between human beings and an almighty God that is proposed is liberal/radical, and the idea of divine self-limitation is central.
