Iphigenie en Tauride (en allemand: Iphigenie auf Tauris) est une reecriture par Goethe de la tragedie grecque d'Euripide, Iphigeneia en Taurois. Amenaide, die Tochter des Ritters Arsir ist dem intriganten Ritter Orbassan versprochen. Sie liebt aber den auf Veranlassung Orbassans verbannten Ritter Tancred, der sich heimlich in der Stadt aufhalt."
