John was born in 1941 in the early years of World War Two. A career spanning some 30 years in the Public Service, in Stoke-on-Trent and Newcastle under Lyme, led to him meeting many interesting and diverse characters. Converted to the Christian Faith at the age of 32, he has been a Lay Preacher ever since. This is his story.
