Jake and Becca are spending an idyllic weekend camping near the Appalachian Trail. Their friends, Sam and Lil, arrive and talk turns to the murders that have happened along the trail. But with the arrival of unexpected visitors, their idyll takes a sinister turn. They soon discover that the most dangerous creature in nature is a human being.
