I first heard the story of the Good Samaritan as a young boy in a Sunday School class. The story stuck with me as much as anything I recall from the scriptures we learned back then. As I grew to manhood I did my best to apply the principles laid out by this nameless man. But as the years passed it became obvious to me there were some serious pitfalls in attempting to live by the Good Samaritan's creed.
