Being a receptionist was never Cait's dream job, but it gets worse after she finds the ad agency's biggest client strangled in the parking lot. Worse still because she's afraid to tell all she knows. Worst of all when the dreamy detective adds her to his suspect list. For her own reasons Cait sets out to solve the case, but all she really manages to do is give the reader some laughs.

Here's a second chance to smile at, and with, Pastor Pete as another needy waif makes a grab for his affections. This time it's a hard-luck kid who lives around the corner from the church. In Pete's own bumbling way, he tries to tend his flock and mend the crack that's threatening his own heart.
