The mandible is a common site of maxillofacial fractures. Treatment of pediatric mandibular fractures aims to restore function by fracture reduction, proper fixation to ensure union of fracture and reestablishment of normal occlusion. Titanium plates are routinely used for fixation of maxillofacial fractures.
