Cadiz, what picturesque place Cadiz is a small town that has a rich cultural background. It is picturesque and it also has a beautiful, luminous bay. Cadiz (as some historians say) is the oldest town in the west which lends the town a very proud feel. Ancient cities, such as Greece and Rome, besides their Christian past, represent our history. Roughly 300 vessels pass the Strait of Gibraltar daily. It is as if there's an imaginary border between lands where it is possible to buy and sell anything. As these waters are in the way of everybody, there are some specific rules over hich the maritime guards do their best. However, only the best ones resist. And the photographer, Oliva F. Reina, on board of a boat less than eight meter-long has sailed round these vessels knowing their secrets and keeping them with her camera. The images that she took, over the years, are the heritage that we are now contemplating.

It seems like only yesterday, the brilliant Tall-ships race, that commemorated the fifth centenary of the discovery of America. On that moment, the local newspaper published a book with the images of, at least, one hundred photographers. However, the clock hands never stop spinning. And we play with little boats, as children do. Now, we are in 2016. We have passed from last century to current one.
