This isn't a children's picture book. Many of us do not start out life in the best of situations. It's hard to navigate without any or the wrong directions in how to have relationships, a family and a fulfilling life. This book talks about difficult truths told to the child who suffers in a family that isn't healthy or edifying. While at times heartbreaking, the overall message is a promise of hope.
