Quiet summer days for friends, Travis and Connor, change with the arrival of their new neighbors, identical twin girls, Mindy and Mandy. Mindy and Mandy are determined to investigate the rumors of a ghost in the old shack within sight of their backyard. The girls, fans of TV crime shows, convince Travis and Connor to help them gather information about the strange happenings at the old shack. In their quest to explain the ghost-like shape that appears around the shack, the four of them become involved in a fifteen year old cold case of robbery and murder.

Douglas Hammerstein, better known as Hamster, decided to audition for the annual school play just to please his mother. She thought he needed to be more involved in school activities. Hamster was surprised to find he actually got a part since he didn't have a good audition. he soon learned that his small part required some unique acting skills. His best friend Teddy comes to his rescue with the perfect acting coach.
