This is Francine Rena Fried's very first book of poetry. Originally published in 1979 in a private printing, Revolutions Per Minute has been re-created in this new second edition so that her work might reach a wider audience. Most of the poems were written outside of Francine's dormitory at Hofstra University. She began her poetic journey on the train rides to and from the University of Vermont. Francine's work shows extraordinary power and depth of feeling as she ranges across an inescapably emotional landscape.
