Nelson Thorn is a loner. Raised by an abusive aunt that doesn't want him, he has developed a weird internal dialogue- the prose of the mind. On the path to alcoholism, he has lost everything including his wife. Living the life of a barfly, his travels take him into the lives of the women that lend a helping hand, in more ways than one.
