Quinn, Allie, and Jonathan have been sent on a quest. After receiving a vision in her sleep, Allie convinces the boys to come with her on an escape out of the orphanage that they live in. They soon meet up with Hal, a mysterious man with a mysterious background. They band together to form a pack as they run across the land, away from the soldiers that peruse them from the orphanage. For a time, they feel as though the soldiers are the only threat, but as they come closer to their goal, they realize that they were wrong in thinking so.
