Long ago, before the Hinckley Fires, Grampa Hansen's granddaddy (whose name was Lars Gunnarson) came over to Partridge. Back then there was Banning Junction here and Partridge, too. My great-great grandfather Lars Gunnarson bought 160 acres to start a farm, and that land has been in our family down to this very day. Lars Gunnarson came to Partridge on a beautiful palomino mule, after he bought the 160 acres from a bank.
