The Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Programme is a flagship programme of Government of India. It is launched on February 2006 with the aim of enhancing livelihood security and poverty reduction. This study is an attempt to study the performance effectiveness of the programme in terms of stakeholder participation, stakeholder satisfaction and physical and financial achievement of MGNREGP in India.
