Spiritual growth and maturity are imperative for the believer today. Every believer has to take responsibility in their salvation. Without spiritual growth, the believer will become vulnerable to wickedness and deception. Spiritual maturity does not occur overnight. However, after the initial conversion, it is a continual process in the daily life of the believer. Repentance, prayer, studying the Word, and fellowship are key components in being transformed into the image of Jesus Christ. As this is achieved, transformation to the new man will be evident in our lives.

God by His Spirit has imparted His gifts in His servants for service. The gifts of the Holy Spirit are for service and not for selfish gain. The gifts of the Spirit are given by the will of God. The gifts of the Spirit are for fulfilling the will of God. There are different manifestations of the gifts of the Spirit, but it is the same Holy Spirit that is manifesting these gifts to the glory of God.

What is righteousness? How can I know that I am right with God? These questions have been the subject of controversy since the early existence of the Church. However, the Christian has to understand that righteousness is in who we are and not what we do. More importantly, the Christian has to realize that ultimately righteousness is a gift.
