The physicochemical properties and fatty acid composition of Madhuca longifolia (J.Konig) J.F.Macbr. (Mahua) and Semecarpus anacardium Linn. (Bhilamo) seeds oil were investigated. The oil was extracted in a soxhlet apparatus using hexane and evaluated for acid value, iodine value, peroxide value saponification values, reflective index and moisture content. The oil was also analyzed for different element viz. Ag, Al, B, Ba, Bi, Ca, Co, Cr, Cu, K, Li, Mn, Na, Ni, Au, etc using ICPMS. The fatty acid profile of the oil was determined by GC-MS.
