Dennis John Kearney had always dreamed of being a daddy. Having grown up in a loving family with caring, giving parents, he wanted to raise children of his own who would have similar memories. He wanted to be the kind of father that his children would brag about to their friends. He wanted to build a bond like no other with each child, ensuring that at no time would he or she ever feel unloved or unwanted.

But at the age of twenty-seven, his dreams of fatherhood evaporated. With a diagnosis of Klinefelter syndrome came the news that he was sterile. Dennis was devastated.
