Rosetta finds a crystal that she places on her cat Traveler. This crystal mysteriously enables the cat to take Gracie, a mouse and Wind Wolf, a werewolf cub who turns into a little boy named Teddy, to a place beyond space and time. They wait there for the past to catch up to them. In this volume, they meet Sitting Bull and Custer plus other interesting characters. When they return they reveal what they have learned on their journey to Rosetta and her friends Mychal and Wolf Robe. In the next volume they meet Isaac Newton, a Druid Priest, and a Roman Legionnaire.
