Like any book on war, "Vietnam Revisited" covers plenty of the tough, gritty, misery of combat. There are fire fights in the jungle, ambushes along well-trodden trails, sweated-out listening posts, men whipped from the pressures, men wounded and killed. But war is more than that. It is also stand-down parties, leaves and R & R's, personality clashes and the zany, riotous behavior of young men in a theater of war. The book has it all.
