Many times God wants and is able to give to us but we are not able to receive.In the vast majority of situations we do not receive from God not because He does not want or is not able to give, but because we are unable to receive. Our prayer should start with the question, "Am I able to receive what I am now asking you for?" So, prayer should be much more about changing the heart of the pray-er than persuading the merciful God to have mercy on us.
