Why Children's Poetry? Some of the poetry contained within this collection was directly inspired by the works of A. A. Milne and Spike Milligan; others just came unbidden. When writing children's poetry I am often in a mode of silliness, crazy mind pictures, the absurd or the down right ridiculous. Why the title 'Poetry of Otherness'? Well, having perused the sum total of my work I noticed that there was a vast collection of poems which I could only classify as 'Other'. Consequently, the poetry within this volume covers a wide variety of subject matter. There are about 5 or 6 poems within this collection which after I had read them (for the first time in many years) I thought to myself, "Where on earth was my head when I wrote that poem?" So here it is the 'Off the Wall', strange, silly, obscure (I specialise in the obscure...), bizarre, odd, weird and wonderful and the down right...

Why Christian Poetry? When a heart is touched by the events of life, for example, discovering the Saviour, being suddenly aware, conscious of the weight and significance of one's sin; those situations cause a response.
