Dr. Martin served for 40 years as an Ordained United Methodist pastor in the Western North Carolina Conference. He is a Vietnam combat veteran serving with the 26th Marines at Khe Sanh in 1968. He has been married to Shirley Bruce for over 49 years, have one son and two grandchildren. His family is now living their retirement in Greensboro, North Carolina. This book is about my life United States Marine. It is about a young man making wrong decisions and going down a path of life which provides no lasting future. He enlists in the Marines and the discipline of the Corps helps to change his life as he becomes part of something bigger than himself. In his growing and searching finds that God has had his six all along the way. What helped was to realize that God was playing such an important role in his life. Reaching 70 years old he reflects on seeing God's hand at work in his living.
