This book is a collection of poems from Jack Boyd's personal archive. The first were written while he was a student at the University of Michigan in 1966. When he began writing poetry in the '60s, the Vietnam War was very much on his mind. He managed to complete his undergraduate degree and travel to Kenya to teach in the Peace Corps.
