The current book describes a new type of cartilage growth occurred during development of different species of vertebrate.The book clarifies the role of undifferentiated mesenchymal cells in growth of the developing cartilage. The difference between mechanism of cartilage growth in the two species is discussed. The book provides a basis for the future molecular investigations for treatment of cartilage disorders.
