When I read the Bible one of the messages that I hear over and over is "Remember who you are." In the creation story of Genesis, in the long history of the Israelites from Egypt to the Promised Land, in the Psalms and Proverbs, in the prophetic warnings to God's people, in the gospel accounts of Jesus' life, in Paul's letters to the churches, and in the very last words of the Revelation, the authors of the Bible seem to be telling me to remember who God is and who I am.
