This is the third tale of Herbia about a young woman, Chervil. Chervil is now a young woman, and she is apprenticed to the Weavers of Herbia - Marjoram and Alnus. But a trader and buyer of wool cheats them of their resources, and they will have to travel abroad. Will Chervil leave her home to continue as an apprentice, or stay to become an old maid of the village? The wider world will not be shut out forever.

This is the second tale of Herbia about a young man, Basil.
He works for the Horsemaster and has become one of the young horse-breakers, and has learned much of the craft of the stables. But great events in his life await him. The Mere, the Falls, the Bridge, and the Rangers will all figure in this new tale.
