Entre 1985 y 1993 las expediciones en busca del Carpintero Real ubicaron a los protagonistas de este relato en una de las regiones de mayor biodiversidad de Cuba, que permitieron el descubrimiento y descripcion de numerosas especies de vertebrados. In this book, I wanted to meet six articles published in newspapers and not scientific journals, in Havana, Cuba and San Juan, Puerto Rico, in a 19-year period beginning in 1985, and ends in 2004. The works deal with species of the fauna of Cuba and Puerto Rico. In some cases the information they contain is untimely or has changed, for that reason at the end of each article, such discrepancies are discussed. I have used the original version of the manuscript of each item that was submitted to the drafting of the media outlet who published it, making slight modifications.
