From 1881 to 1914, more than 2.5 million Jews migrated from Eastern Europe to countries like the United States, Cuba, and South Africa. This short book is a pictorial record of a search for information about the roots of two young brothers who were part of that migration. They left Pasval, Lithuania, and emigrated to South Africa. Neither revealed much about their past, their journey, their motivation, or the family they left behind. Now a son and grandsons of each set out to explore their roots, and expecting little, are amazed at what they find.
