Stigmatization of women is a global challenge that has been found to be more prevalent in developing countries. The key to the abolishment of this stigma is in exposing, reporting and criticizing it. "Nwaminta" is a case study of the pain of womanhood in Edda, an Igbo tribe of Eastern Nigeria; a male chauvinist culture that harbors a low rate of reported cases of gender discrimination and violence.
