Sparrow is fourteen year old who has enough problems with normal teenage life without her Gifts-special powers that 'enhance' life. She can Make stones and super-heal. Then comes the arrival of a letter that makes her hunger for acceptance. Taking a chance Sparrow realizes that home isn't always the same place that it was before and that the world is bigger than she thought. Before the dust has time to settle in her new home, Sparrow is yanked out on an adventure involving an old friend, a power-hungry foe, an unnerving surprise and the beginning of the end.
