Freetown takes place in Sierra Leone during one of the bloodiest rebel wars the country has ever seen. Bobbie Weiss is a young American doctor who volunteers at a refugee camp in Freetown, Sierra Leone. She is trying to find solace and redemption from her own violent past through her work with the victims of this atrocious war.
