Dr. Gurmit Singh Aulakh was born in 1938 in district Lyallpur, now Faislabad, West Panjab. Dr. G.S.Aulakh graduated with a BS in Agriculture in 1958 from Khalsa College, Amritsar, Panjab. In 1965, he migrated to the United Kingdom. Before moving to the United Sates of America in 1970, he had completed his postgraduate Teachers Training from Jordan Hill College of Education, Glasgow, Scotland. He then taught general science for one year. After arriving in the US he did his MS in Genetics from North Carolina Central University, Durham, NC, and his PhD from Howard University, Washington, D.C....
