Cody the Shepherd's family has some friends come to visit Lancaster, PA. They take their friends for a tour of Amish Country. The tour consists of driving through beautiful countryside, a covered bridge, horse and buggy, several Amish in daily activities, quilts and dolls, deer, goats, dairy cow, and ice cream at a dairy farm. The book is illustrated by the writer (Illustration per page).

Cody and Rosie visit a farm house. Rosie brings her new camera along to take pictures. Rosie and Cody see a deer and a pheasant in the woods on the way to the farm. At the farm, they meet, a pig, a rabbit, a horse, sheep, and goats. Rosie's friend Grace rides and jumps her horse named Sonny as Cody and Rosie watch.

Cody rides the Strasburg Rail Road in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. It turns out to be a very fun and exciting experience. After he buys a ticket he rides the number 68 Hello Dolly Car to Paradise, Pennsylvania On, the ride, Cody sees a turkey farm, pumpkin patch, caboose, farm animals, tractor, and other local attractions. After the train ride he picks out a toy train in the gift shop.

All proceeds from the book release were donated to Concerns of Police Survivors. The book is about a local Lancaster, Pennsylvania police dog named Ruger. The book describes Ruger's training and skills, includes a few short stories, and ends with real photographs.
