Lizzie" as she was affectionately called, were ordained as ministers in the 1920's in the Free Will Baptist Church. They were co-pastors, and an evangelistic team holding large revivals in North Carolina, Texas, Alabama, Oklahoma, Missouri, and Nebraska. They organized churches and promoted Tecumseh College in Oklahoma, and was active in church missions throughout.
