Unanticipated conflicts and carefully nurtured nuances in belief have resulted in the three Western monotheisms becoming veritable philosophical quagmires. The essays herein touch upon, among other things, and in no particular order, supersessionism, iconoclasm, Sabbataianism, Sufism, millennialism, and Zionism - as well as the artistic traditions that have struggled to serve their respective ever-changing doctrines.
