Sometimes people just connect. That is the way librarian Kate Murray feels when she meets Maggie McCallum, a lonely, troubled young teen. And when she meets the girl's father, Dr. Michael McCallum, Kate fears she may fall hard for them both. But there is a mystery to the McCallums: a missing mother and wife, whose death left both daughter and husband heavily burdened with guilt. It takes a shared interest in Shakespearean theater, a horrendous thunderstorm, and a willingness to let go of the past for these three to finally become a family.
