The author, Maxine Anne Browne, provides an excellent narrative of her experiences as a Birder observing the avian species in her backyard. Her account of the habits and behavior of various birds is informative and educational. This book provides the reader with many ideas of how to be good custodians of the backyard environment for various species of birds. The photographs by Robert Yocum and Linda C. Yocum are beautiful and quite natural as they photographed birds at their home in suburban Atlanta.
