"I honestly don't think that one ever truly heals after the death of a parent, but I think this is especially true when the parent-child bond has been damaged. Not to discount the importance of the father-child bond or the mother-son bond, but there really exists no bond quite like that of mother and daughter. When you grow up without that bond, or you grow up with a dysfunctional mother-daughter relationship, I personally think it makes the grieving process that much harder once Mother dies..."
