Kris: The Elephant at Sea is the second adventure of Kris the Elephant. The first adventure is illustrated in the book Elephant Escapes to an Island. This adventure at sea starts with a journey of students who were travelling abroad in a ship. The ship was heading toward the United States, though there were several planned stops, one being Denis Island. Kris was transported to this island to lead a centenary celebration while the students had an educational visit to learn about the culture and tradition of the island.
